Step 1: Choosing a search optionSuppose that you want to view stress strain curves for 17-7PH (USA / SAE).
Your first step is to choose a search option. The KEY to METALS search engine performs material searches by designation most efficiently through the Quick Search option.

Step 2: Defining search criteriaSimply enter the designation and select your country / standard.
All you have to do then is to simply click "search" button. In a few seconds the KEY to METALS search engine will find all materials, which have 17-7PH (USA / SAE) in their designation.

Step 3: Selecting the subgroupKEY to METALS will conveniently show all matching search results in subgroups. You can then simply select the material that interests you and view any of its properties by clicking on the relevant link.

To view stress strain diagrams click on the link in the subgroup of your choice.

Step 4: Viewing diagrams
KEY to METALS will present curves at room temperature but it is also possible to select from a range of conditions from the drop down menu. It is also possible to view curves with our interactive function. Enter the temperature that you are most interested in, click 'calculate' and KEY to METALS will present the relevant curve for you on the graph. The figures are also handily displayed in the table for ease of use in other calculations.
