Steel updates
- The most important development in December is launching of the new version of Steel CrossRef, with the essential new functionality -- compositions of steel alloys. Steel CrossRef 2003.12, as a subset of full-featured KEY to METALS • Steel Database, now includes compositions of 15000+ steel grades, which will, together with 18000+ cross-reference records, enable you to compare more efficiently and precisely steel alloys worldwide.
- And the good news is that... In spite of such great increase of functionality and data included, for a limited time the PRICE of the software is UNCHANGED $99 only.
- New Database updates are made as well. The description of US SAE steels is extended with new specifications for iron, nickel-based steels and superalloys, and their properties on elevated temperatures.
- British steels are upgraded with new specifications and mechanical properties data for 200+ steel alloys.

- Database coverage of US SAE steels is extended with specifications for hardenability bands for carbon & alloy H steels, engine poppet valves. SAE AMS specifications are added as well, and then cross-referenced with Unified Numbering System (UNS).
- German steels are updated with new DIN specifications, which are harmonized with Euronorm (EN) standards. Besides new steel designations and grades, new sets of heat treatment data is added as well.
